that's what the whole damn circus show is about.. they put on this performance and poor little piper is caught somewhere between child and mother (not unlike her older sister...) She's probably been told to care for her baby brother, especially while on tv, but she got confused between being able to fake it and still obviously having no idea what's going on. little girls aren't capable of lying about who they are the way grown-up republicans can.
